Mr. McElveen began service on the Board of Trustees in 1997 and has held leadership positions as Secretary-Treasurer, Chairman of the Board Governance Committee, and Chair of The Cottages Task Force for The Cottages at Bethany Phase I. He is employed full-time as the owner-operator of a large family farming operation in the Southern portion of Bulloch County. He graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and has vast experience in the private enterprise sector of the business world, having successfully managed the family farm for over thirty (30) years. He is a Deacon at Lane’s Primitive Baptist Church, where he serves as the Choir Director and as one of the Worship Leaders. He serves on a number of Boards throughout the profession of farming and entrepreneurism locally in Bulloch County and throughout Georgia. Mr. McElveen is actively involved in various civic organizations and serves on several Boards of other businesses in the local area. Mr. McElveen’s expertise lies largely in the field of finance and the general operations of a business.
